Work Out with My Trainer: Workout 5

March 3, 2016

My husband and I are based in Chicago, but we travel to see his family in Santa Barbara quite often (fun fact: it’s also where we got married!).

However, just because we’re traveling doesn’t mean we can afford to take time off from our fitness routines—after all, one of the goals of live wholefully is to sweat for at least 30 minutes every day!

So when we’re in Santa Barbara, we work out with Shane Cervantes, a fantastic trainer who is ACSM certified and focuses on improving his clients’ quality of life by keeping them fit enough to do the activities they love longer.

Whenever we’re back in Chicago, I find myself wishing I could schedule sessions with Shane. But now I can, sort of—and you can too! We’ll be featuring tons of different workouts from Shane that you can do at home with minimal equipment or at the gym.

Workout 5 features chin ups, hanging ab raises, row machine sprints, and more. Equipment needed for these workouts is somewhat more involved, so doing them at a gym would be ideal, but you can shop the gear you’ll need below so you can do some of the moves at home!
